Basque Burnt Cheese Cake 🧀
Although it is ugly, it is really nice ❤
Since I’m a cheese lover, I like to eat cheese’s dessert. I saw this cake a few years ago but didn’t recognize it and they are too expensive to try. During MCO 1.0, there were a lot of Basque Burnt cheesecakes on my social media. Therefore, I try to do it. In the end, I fell in love with it! 🧀 ❤
This is super easy recipe! It requires only five basic ingredients to make a Basque Burnt Cheese Cake. I recommend this recipe because the price of burnt cheese cakes is very high and the cost of making them yourself can be cut in half!!
Background: This is a special dessert from the bar and is said to have been created in 1990 by chef Santiago Rivera of La Viña in San Sebastian, Spain.
Recipe come from:
I tried many recipe before but it is not perfect for me. However, I found out the best recipe from TikTok China called @LQ7724. They are come from China and share their cooking skills by TikTok video.
- Cream Cheese 250g
- Corn starch 8g
- Sugar 70g
- 3 Eggs
- Whipping Cream 180g
- Baking paper
- 6″ Cake Mould
When all the materials are ready, let’s start making!
Step 1: Line the cake mould with baking paper and ensure that the paper extends about 2 inches above the rim of the pan (the cake will rise above the rim in the oven).
Step 2: Add the sugar into cream cheese. Beat the cream cheese and sugar until creamy by using an electric mixer.
Step 3: After beating, add 3 eggs into creamy cream cheese and continue beating until well mixed.
Step 4: After the eggs are well mixed with cream . Then, add whipping cream and corn starch into the cream. Continue beating them to mix well with cream cheese.
Step 5: At the end, all the ingredients are mixed well! It looks watery.
Step 6: Filter the cream into the cake mould. *Cheesecake will become more soft.
Step 7: Tap a few times to release trapped air bubbles on the surface.
Step 8: Bake at 220 Degree (please adjust according to your oven) for 30 mins or slightly more until the top of the cake is a deep brown. **Don’t overbake or else the top will be too dark and will taste bitter.
Step 9: When it is done, we need to put the cake in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours. This makes the taste better! ❤
Step 10: Enjoy your Basque Burnt Cheese Cake! 🧀
At the last, I wish you all success! ❤
